About

Established in 2003, we are the only independent, locally owned and operated, full service concert production company in the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California. We promote events 52 weeks a year in venues from clubs to stadiums to multi-day festivals and everything in between. APE exclusively operates and promotes concerts at the Greek Theatre at UC Berkeley, San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, The Castro, and The Independent, the Fox Theater in Oakland, Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys, Channel 24 in Sacramento, as well as co-promoter of The Bellwether in Los Angeles. Our Annual festival and events include San Francisco’s Outside Lands and Golden Gate Park Concerts in Golden Gate Park.  Another Planet also includes Artist Management and Special Events divisions.  The founders of Another Planet Entertainment (APE) have a deep and long history in the Bay Area, having previously been with Bill Graham Presents. Named “Top Independent Promoter” in the United States by Billboard Magazine for the past 3 consecutive years, we strive to bring the very best experience to artists and audiences alike!

More than a cookie-cutter American rock festival, Outside Lands takes advantage of its setting in Golden Gate Park by pointedly celebrating all that is the Bay Area.— Rolling Stone
[The Independent] has hosted some of the era’s most important and most successful musical names — both when they were just barely known enough to fill the room, and when they were so huge it became nearly impossible to get inside.— SF Weekly
