Enter Sam Bankman-Fried, disgraced former CEO of the Ponzi-like cryptocurrency exchange FTX. SBF is wide-eyed, jittery, still somehow optimistic, and sporting a mop of curly hair. He’s got a song and a story to tell, and it involves effective altruism, labor unions, and 8 billion dollars that vanished into thin air. Then comes Sean “Diddy” Combs— charismatic, menacing, deeply chaotic, with an entrance that feels like a Super Bowl halftime show and a legal team on speed dial.
