Band Together Bay Area
A second Band Together Bay Area benefit concert has been announced to continue the momentum of support for the North Bay after the devastating fires. Band Together 2 will take place December 14 at the historic Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and feature performances by Red Hot Chili Peppers and Lukas Nelson & Promise of The Real. 100% of ticket sales will go to the Tipping Point Emergency Relief Fund supporting North Bay community foundations, service providers and government partners working with low-income communities hit hardest by the fires.
Another Planet Entertainment, Salesforce and Twilio have signed on to support the event.
Band Together 2 comes on the heels of a tremendous outpouring of generosity from the Band Together Bay Area concert that took place at AT&T Park on November 9, raising over $17 million for North Bay fire relief efforts. The North Bay firestorm — the most destructive and deadliest firestorm disaster in California history — burned an estimated 200,000 acres and 6,000 homes in Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino and Lake Counties, displacing thousands of residents. Damage estimates are in the billions of dollars and rising, and the cleanup and recovery efforts will be the largest and costliest in California history.
Tickets for Band Together 2 will go on sale to the public Friday, December 1 at 10:00 a.m. at bandtogetherbayarea.org, APEConcerts.com and Ticketmaster.com. Tickets are $99.50 (General Admission) plus applicable charges. Ticketmaster will donate all processing fees to the relief effort.
The Tipping Point Emergency Relief Fund aims to address urgent needs, such as temporary housing, food, education and healthcare services, as well as rebuilding efforts. More than $5 million has been allocated to ten community-based partners in the North Bay. $2.5 million, the largest grant made to date from the Tipping Point Emergency Relief Fund, will go to Santa Rosa Community Health. Santa Rosa Community Health provides primary healthcare and health education to underserved individuals and families regardless of their ability to pay. The fires destroyed their largest facility, the Vista Campus, leaving 24,000 patients without access to care. Funding will provide support for temporary medical facilities and infrastructure while the organization rebuilds. The clinic will be spotlighted at the concert.
Additional Tipping Point Emergency Relief Fund beneficiaries include: Community Foundation Sonoma County, Napa Valley Community Foundation, Community Foundation of Mendocino County, Catholic Charities of Santa Rosa, Jewish Family and Children’s Services, On The Move, Gateway to College at Santa Rosa College, North Coast Opportunities, and the Redwood Credit Union Community Fund, Inc. as part of the North Bay Fire Relief Fund established by the Press Democrat and Senator Mike McGuire.
