Yseult
A new phenomenon on the French alternative pop scene, Yseult launched her MENTAL project on 20 September 2024, under her own label, I HAVE NOFUCKING IDEA. The 13-track album marks a bold musical turn, a cry of urgency and an exploration of the eight primary emotions through a variety of genres. MENTAL is a raw, uncompromising, sexy and sweaty project that embodies the artist’s rebirth and reflects her complex and captivating state of mind. As she describes it: ‘MENTAL is an artistic interlude that sublimates my character and embodies my transformation.
Yseult is also the first French artist to have taken part in TinyDesk in the United States and to have appeared twice on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show. She has established herself as a key figure on the international music scene, collaborating with artists such as Rema, Shygirl, Banks and Sevdaliza.
With the track ‘Alibi’, a duet with Sevdaliza and Pablo Vittar, she became the first French artist to enter the Billboard Hot 100, and the most listened-to French singer in the world. Yseult was also nominated for a Victoire de la Musique 2025 award in the Female Artist of the Year category, consolidating her place as one of the leading figures in contemporary music.
