Back by popular demand.. Lady Camden’s new show, The Peach Pit Cabaret, returns to Bimbo’s 365 Club on February 21. Merging the worlds of drag, burlesque, lounge, performance art, live music, and even circus tricks- with a vintage twist straight out of Moulin Rouge.
Drawing from references new and old, ranging from Cabaret, to Chicago, to Chappell Roan, to Christina Aguilera and 2001’s “Lady Marmalade”, Lady Camden invites you to step into her secret, sexy, glamorous, speakeasy… with stunning performances, audience interaction, live piano, comedy, stunts, choreography, burlesque performers, drag legends, gender-bending, and more.
Upon entering The Pitch Pit Cabaret, expect to find your seat within a speakeasy themed environment with cocktails, mood-lighting, and twinkling piano covers. During the show, Lady Camden might just slink on over to your table and perch next to you in a feathered robe while introducing the night’s next performer. Try not to be blinded by the beads, rhinestones, and bright stars on the lineup, but definitely drop a song request into her fish-bowl if offered the chance.
Starring the Castro’s own world-renowned drag artist and producer Lady Camden, along with RuPaul’s Drag Race superstar Bosco (AS10, S14), San Francisco drag legends Tito Soto and Mudd the Two Spirit, and Bay-Area circus and burlesque icons Lucy Juggles and Dasha Cayenne. The second ever Peach Pit Cabaret will be an unforgettable, juicy evening.
While not required, audiences are welcome and encouraged to dress up in their favorite glamorous, vintage-inspired looks!
After a rollercoaster journey of self discovery while creating iconic TV moments, Lady Camden has become one of the true breakout stars of RuPauls Drag Race, best known as the Runner-Up of the show’s 14th season.
Actor, dancer, choreographer… this gal is one busy lady! While she spends most of the year traveling the world kicking, pirouetting and pas-de-bourse-ing she proudly calls the gayest city in America home- San Francisco.
Before stepping into the Werk Room, Camden began her career as a professional ballet dancer Sacramento Ballet and Smuin Ballet before becoming a working freelance choreographer and an acting teacher with First Take Acting.
Since finishing as the runner-up of Season 14 Lady has gone on to tour the world, produce music, write and produce one-woman shows and big self-made productions, and star in a documentary about her life and experiences- Lady Like. She additionally continues her choreographic work in the ballet world, and can occasionally be seen making guest appearances on stage with Ballets and Operas!
What’s ahead? Music, touring and self-produced shows like “Naughty Nutcracker”, “The Peach Pit Cabaret”, “Lady Land”, “For The Girls’, and beyond!
