Gunna
Gunna has undergone perhaps one of the most significant transformations in hip-hop history. You can trace his evolution throughout a string of projects over the last ten years as he’s morphed from delivering gritty street anthems born from the darkest corners of Atlanta to providing motivation via his music, altering his mindset to prioritize wellness, and inspiring through his business moves as an elite entrepreneur. The multi-GRAMMY® Award-nominated diamond-selling superstar has become a voice for his generation, and he’s delivering his message with confidence and charisma on his sixth full-length album The Last Wun [via Young Stoner Life Records/300 Entertainment]. The College Park, GA native has undeniably determined the pace for rap music and the culture. He delivered an inescapable anthem in the form of “Drip Too Hard” with Lil Baby, receiving a Diamond certification from the RIAA and cracking the Top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100. He has scored two back-to-back #1 debuts on the Billboard 200 with Wunna [2020] and DS4Ever [2022]. The latter yielded “Pushin P,” which garnered GRAMMY® Award nods for “Best Rap Performance” and “Best Rap Song.”
Following A Gift & a Curse [2023], he landed his fifth Top 3 debut on the Billboard 200 and fifth #1 debut on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart and the birth of the 4x platinum “fukumean” smash hit, followed with the acclaimed One of Wun [2024]. The latter received praise from Billboard, Rolling Stone and Complex who marveled at how “Gunna shows off his melodic genius.” In support of the LP , he embarked on the sold-out “The Bittersweet Tour” headline run across the U.S.
Everything unfolded in a way that carved the path for The Last Wun. Once again, he reunited with GRAMMY® Award-nominated producer and trusted confidant Turbo as Executive Producer. He laces the album with 25 tracks, delivering his most expansive offering yet and tagging in Offset, Nechie, Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Asake for features. Led by singles “Won’t Stop” and “Just Say Dat,” it’s as invigorating as it is infectious.
Gunna resounds beyond hip-hop though. The trend-setting style icon introduced his own line this year “P Star.” Upping his business game, this entrepreneur also co-owns Flerish Hydration, House of Athletics, and has invested in CYMBIOTIKA. Plus, he gives back at every turn with his non-profit organization “Gunna’s Great Giveaway.” Among many initiatives, he teamed up with sustainable hunger relief company Goodr to host the first-ever Gunna’s Goodr Grocery Store and Drip Closet at his alma mater Ronald E. McNair Middle School.
The Last Wun is yet another step forward in Gunna’s journey—cementing his place in music and proving that he’s only continuing to rise.
