Bridget Everett
Bridget Everett is a comedian, actor, singer, writer and producer living in New York City. She is the star, writer and executive producer of HBO’s critically acclaimed, Peabody- Award winning, Critics’ Choice nominated and AFI “Program of the Year” comedy series, “Somebody Somewhere,” which recently ended its third and final season on HBO in December. Inspired by her own life as an actor, singer, and Midwesterner, Everett plays Sam Miller, a true Kansan still struggling to fit the hometown mold, grappling with loss and acceptance, and leading her on a journey to discover herself and a community of outsiders who don’t fit in but don’t give up.
Variety called her performance “dazzling,” Rolling Stone as “hypnotizing,” and Collider praised Bridget as “masterful…brilliant…compelling and effortlessly funny.” The Boston Globe declared the series as a “revelation” that “exudes compassion” with a “nuanced take on the everyday.” Bridget was recently nominated for her second Critics Choice Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series and received her first Writer’s Guild of America nomination for Best Episodic Comedy. She has received nominations for a TCA Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Comedy, Spirit Award for Lead Performance in a New Scripted Series, and a Hollywood Critics Association Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series. Everett’s breakout TV success proves that “dreams don’t have deadlines.” Bridget’s other television/film credits include “Patti Cake$,” HBO’s “Camping,” “Trainwreck,” and her comedy special “Bridget Everett: Gynecological Wonder” can be seen on Comedy Central.
Bridget Everett and The Tender Moments regularly perform her acclaimed cabaret show at Joe’s Pub in New York City and recently headlined The Beacon Theater on Oct. 24 to a sold-out crowd. Bridget’s legendary and take-no-prisoners live act is a perennial sold-out hit and has garnered a faithful cult following. Her in-your-face comedy is mixed with one outrageous rocking and original song after another. Dripping with hard-earned sweat in her sparkling and revealing House of Larréon dresses, she swigs from a bottle in a paper bag while telling stories about her dysfunctional family and her struggles.
