Brandi Carlile
One of music’s most respected voices, Brandi Carlile is an Oscar-nominee, 11x Grammy-winner, 2x EMMY-winner and #1 New York Times Bestselling author. Her acclaimed #1 album, Returning To Myself (Interscope Records/Lost Highway), marks a deeply personal new chapter for Carlile, pairing intimate songwriting with sweeping, emotionally resonant arrangements across a collection that explores self-discovery, identity and the complexities of coming home to oneself. Hailed as “one of the best albums of the year” (Variety), “remarkable” (Billboard) and a record “whose compositions feel like instant classics” (NPR Music), the album earned Carlile nominations for both Song of the Year (“Returning To Myself”) and Artist of the Year at the 2026 Americana Awards.
In the midst of yet another monumental year, Carlile was recently selected by The New York Times‘ readers as #21 on their “Top 100 Living American Songwriters” list and honored as one of TIME’s 2026 Women of the Year. She also performed “gorgeous” (Billboard) renditions of “America The Beautiful” at Super Bowl LX and as part of ABC News’ America 250 celebration.
Carlile is currently in the midst of her extensive “The Human Tour,” with sold-out arena shows across North America, the U.K. and Europe. Of her recent stop in Minneapolis, which raised over $750,000 for the Advocates for Human Rights, the Minneapolis Star Tribune declared, “it’s clear that the time has come to call Brandi Carlile a true rock star, with Olympian talents, a generational voice and an embracing humanness.”
Additionally, Returning To Myself (Sad Gay Version), a new expanded deluxe version of Returning To Myself, will be released September 25 and features intimate reimagined versions of all ten songs from the original album.
Beloved by her peers, Carlile has worked with artists such as Soundgarden, Sam Smith, Alicia Keys, Hozier, Noah Kahan, P!nk and Dolly Parton, was named OUT Magazine’s Icon of the Year, awarded Billboard’s Women In Music Trailblazer Award and NMPA’s Songwriter Icon Award as well as multiple awards from the Americana Music Association. Carlile is also a founder of the Looking Out Foundation, which has raised over $10M for grassroots causes to date and lives in rural Washington state with her wife and two daughters.
