The Role:
The Castro Theatre in San Francisco CA is looking for an Barback to support our Bartenders and the rest of our beverage team. You’ll assist with bar opening and closing procedures, perform various behind-the-bar tasks, such as restocking the bar and preparing garnishes. If you’re interested in kickstarting your career in the hospitality industry, this is a great opportunity to get first-hand experience of how a bar operates. This is an entry level position where candidates can learn the ropes of working behind a bar and serving with a path to promotion.
You are working in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced, guest-centric environment to provide an exceptionally distinctive experience Note that, to be considered for this role, you should be legally authorized to work in a bar where alcoholic beverages are served and consumed. You should also be available to work in shifts, including evenings.
Responsibilties:
- Tidy up tables, counters, and other bar areas
- Restock the bar with napkins, cups, straws,
- Prepare mixers, juices, and cocktail garnishes
- Replenish glassware and bar equipment
- Replace beer, wine, & liquor
- Remove trash and wipe down drink spills
- Fill and replenish ice bins
- Assist the Bartenders during rush hours
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all stock
- Track all stock leaving storage areas
Requirements:
- Minimum age to serve alcohol
- Interest in the hospitality industry; previous entry-level experience in a bar or restaurant is not mandatory, but will be considered a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that can be loud and dimly lit during
- Basic knowledge of bar menu items (different types of beers, liquor, and wine)
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Physical ability to lift beer kegs, hold heavy containers of bottles and glassware and stand during the shift
- Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure
- Be able to work at least one day a month assisting in deliveries
- Relevant training certificates such as LEAD and Food Handling
- High school diploma: additional certifications in mixology or hospitality is a plus
Salary:
$19.61 Hourly + tips

Summary:
Production support position – primary duties include running errands and transporting people on behalf of the event. This is a seasonal, as-needed position perfect for a person who has a flexible schedule and is well acquainted with Bay Area highways, streets, airports, restaurants and stores.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Run errands & purchase supplies for tour and event
- Provide transportation for tour personnel
- Order production meals and set up/strike hospitality items
- Provide any additional support to the tour and/or in-house production team (administrative task, laundry, research, etc)
Qualifications:
- Must have valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Capable and comfortable driving a 15 passenger van
- Own or have access to a personal vehicle with insurance
- Great communications skills and the ability to closely follow directions
- Must be able to think and react quickly and creatively in unique situations requiring professionalism and composure
- Capacity to work long hours on your feet with early start & late end times

About Our Internship Program:
Another Planet Entertainment offers a variety of paid, hands-on internships that offer well-rounded experience in many facets of our business. Applicants should be current students and available to work 20-24 hours per week. We are looking for motivated, highly engaged applicants that are passionate about live music and learning more about the concert industry.
Interns at our main office will help support projects for a variety of departments, assist with administrative duties, provide customer service support, and will have the opportunity to get involved with our festivals.
This internship will begin in May and extends through August 2026.This is an in-person position that will work out of our Berkeley HQ.
The Role:
- Support Senior Designer & Marketing Directors
- Assist in localizing show creative (static and video) on a rolling basis
- Assist in producing and maintaining creative assets for ad campaigns, venue signage, social media campaigns, etc
- Conduct industry research to ensure that leading brand standards and social media trends are being met
- Develop original venue-branded content such as photography & video assets for use across web and socials
- Assist in the maintenance & execution of organic social strategy across all social channels
- Assist in the proofing of all public facing marketing materials including websites, advertising materials and email blasts
- Assist in the building of press releases, email blasts, website listings, and FB events as needed
- Assist in the fulfillment of promotional ticket distribution per show
- Organize and maintain Master Photography Archive across all venues and festivals
- Provide administrative support to the department
- Researching and assisting in grassroots marketing efforts
- Execute special projects and tasks as needed
- Customer Service Relations: organizing phone calls, answering ticket questions, distributing venue show information
Strengths/qualifications:
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Ability to effectively multi-task/prioritize tasks
- Ability to perform under high pressure situations and short deadlines
- Well-versed in current design & social media trends
- Existing design portfolio including both static and motion graphics (music-related content is a plus but not required)
- Experience in concert photography (including a digital camera + wide angle lens capable of 4k 60fps) is a plus but not required
- Extremely proficient with Adobe Suite, specifically but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects
- Proficient in Figma, Microsoft Office, GSuite, Dropbox, Instagram/Facebook/Twitter/TikTok, and email applications
- Experience with Acoustic, Sprout Social, and/or Airtable is a plus but not required
- Excited to learn about the facets of the concert industry in an office setting

The Office Operations Intern is a unique experience that exposes individuals to a variety of facets of being a concert promoter, allowing individuals to bounce around and support multiple departments throughout their internship. This role will support the daily functions of our HQ in Berkeley, including but not limited to customer service, office administration, business operations, and special projects for our venues and festivals as needed. Interns in this role will have their finger on the pulse of the company and learn about the inner workings of what it takes to be a successful business in the concert industry.

The Role: Your Impact
- Patron Experience: Act as a key point of contact for our patrons, mastering the art of high-volume communication and solving complex ticketing or venue inquiries with confidence and common sense.
