Arc De Soleil
Arc De Soleil is one of many monikers of composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Kadawatha. Inspired by his father’s love for the Spotnicks and their soaring guitar-driven sound, Daniel grew up hearing his father play their songs on his homemade guitar amp. This early exposure to music shaped Daniel’s own musical tastes and influenced his decision to become a musician himself.
For Daniel, creating music for Arc De Soleil was more of a return to something very natural rather than being experimental. He draws on the vintage sound of The Spotnicks and the Shadows, as well as the funk rhythms of Asha Bhosle and contemporary acts like Khruangbin, to create a sound that is uniquely his own. With a focus on strong melodies and stringed instruments like the guitar and sitar, as well as infectious grooves and beats, Arc De Soleil’s music is both nostalgic and fresh.
Being a diverse music maker, Daniel has created music in multiple genres, ranging from stripped-back acoustic to futuristic synthwave, and gained over 600 million streams and countless syncs across his different artist profiles. Arc De Soleil is one of these projects and one that lies close to his heart and creative passion.
With a musical background in playing live shows, Daniel has been a supporting act for Paramore, Tegan and Sarah and Explosions in the Sky, to name a few, and is about to go on tour with Paramore drummer Zac Farro’s solo project Halfnoise later this year. Daniel also has an extensive experience in songwriting, production and mixing, having worked with Taylor York (Paramore), Mike Daly (Ryan Adams, Plain White T’s), Evan Frankfort (The 100, Rancid), Evan Taubenfeldt (Avril Lavigne), Zac Farro (Paramore, Halfnoise), Veronica Maggio, Miriam Bryant among others.
Whether working on his own compositions or collaborating with other artists, Daniel brings a passion and dedication to his music that is evident in every note. With Arc De Soleil, he has created a musical project that is as captivating as it is personal.
