Hugo Leclercq, the musician known as Madeon, first became known in 2011 when he live sampled 39 hits, from Daft Punk to Solange, to create his frantic yet perfectly sculptural “Pop Culture,” which instantly propelled the then-17-year-old to the international stage. By the time he released his debut album Adventure in 2015, Madeon was a globally beloved artist with production credits for Lady Gaga and Coldplay. Soon after, he teamed with Porter Robinson for their immersive, ecstatic single “Shelter.” Now, a few years later, Madeon is perhaps a more deeply seasoned artist than wide-eyed dreamer from Nantes, France — but he’s just as ambitious as ever. “All My Friends” is the radiant introduction to this new era.
Sage DeVault, better known by his stylized surname DEVAULT, is a 27 year old American electronic musician. In late 2017, Devault reached an early breakthrough from his official remix for DJ Snake, which was later named by Billboard as one of the top 10 remixes of the year. With official redos for artists such as Rihanna, 6LACK, Alessia Cara, Alina Baraz, and Sabrina Claudio under his belt, Devault went on to release his Debut EP Stay. Featuring the likes of Njomza , Bipolar Sunshine , & Matt Maeson, Devault’s debut EP captured immediate attention. In 2019, Devault released a dark, haunting audiovisual EP titled ‘JADE’ which gathered large press attention from Playboy, Flaunt Magazine, and Forbes (to name a few). Following JADE, Devault released ‘SAPPHIRE’ as a second chapter to his tape series, along with ‘RUBY’ creating a dark world around his vocal works. Following up with his vocal heavy EP ‘Empty Room’ featuring Kiiara, Bipolar Sunshine, EVAN GIIA and Izzy Camina. In 2022, we received the final chapter of the saga, ‘DIAMOND’ concluding the 4 part tape series that serves as a staple for his distinct sound.
Devault simultaneously has been touring and in the studio with the likes of Zhu, DJ Snake, Madeon, San Holo, Duke Dumont and more. The momentum continues after his biggest headline show to date at 1720 Warehouse in Los Angeles that consisted of an immersive, 360 experience. It featured actors, dancers and loads of special guests all recorded and live on Youtube. The video consists of tons of unreleased music and featured tracks coming out later this year. It highlights what a Devault experience looks like from the energy, to the people, to the soundscape. Dark, sexy, grungy but elevated and cinematic- we are thrilled to be able to showcase what Devault’s world feels like. The world Devault is cultivating is undeniable as he quickly becomes one of the new electronic artists to watch this year.
